My first crack at video blogging, still some kinks to work out, but I’m a big believer in video so I need to start practicing what I preach.

Adrian, I’m wondering whether you obtained permission from The Postal Service for using their song, “We Will Become Silhouettes” as the background music for your video. If not, let me know your basis for claiming an exemption from needing such permission; I’ve always wanted to use music in my podcasts and videos, but have kept to Podsafe Music only.
Adrian: You are totally right on. There is no reason that big law firms can’t have more blogs. Biglaw is missing the modern approach to law firm marketing, which is personal branding — not branding the firm. Blogs accomplish this very effectively, and are proven to generate new clients at the lowest cost per lead. Why don’t they? My guess is that at Biglaw there are too many internal approvals required, and also that lawyers are afraid of the time commitment to blogging. ~ Larry Bodine
